Terms & Conditions Privacy Policy Data & Content Policy Cookie Policy Disclaimer Copyright & Takedown About us Contact

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of RailIndia (the “Portal”) available at https://nextrail.in. By accessing or using the Portal you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Portal.

1. Nature of the service

The Portal is an independent information service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by the Ministry of Railways, Indian Railways, IRCTC, CRIS or any government body. Railway names, train names, station codes and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification and factual reporting.

2. No booking, no payment

The Portal does not sell tickets, does not process payments and never asks for payment card details, IRCTC passwords or OTPs. Tickets must be booked only through irctc.co.in, authorised counters or authorised agents. Anyone asking you to pay through this Portal is impersonating it.

3. Accuracy and availability

Timetables, running positions, fares, platform numbers and availability are compiled from public sources and may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect. Figures marked “estimate”, “projected” or “simulated” are calculated by the Portal and are not official records. Always confirm critical details with the National Train Enquiry System (139 / NTES) or at the station before travelling. The service is provided “as is” and may be unavailable at any time.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use automated scraping, bulk querying or any activity that degrades the service.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the administration area or underlying servers.
  • Do not reproduce substantial parts of the Portal commercially without written permission.
  • Do not use the Portal for anything unlawful under Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.

5. Third-party links and advertising

The Portal links to third-party websites and may display advertising served by third parties (including Google AdSense). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services or privacy practices. Advertising is clearly labelled.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RailIndia shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss — including missed trains, missed connections, financial loss or loss of data — arising from use of, or reliance on, information presented on the Portal.

7. Intellectual property

The design, code, compiled datasets and original text of the Portal are protected by copyright. Factual railway data remains the property of its respective sources; open datasets used are credited on the About page under their own licences.

8. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated at any time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

9. Advertising and sponsorship

The Portal may display third-party advertising to remain free. Advertising is labelled and does not influence any train, station or fare information shown. We are not responsible for advertisers' products, claims or websites.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RailIndia, its operators and contributors against any claim, loss or expense arising from your misuse of the Portal or breach of these terms.

11. Intermediary status and grievance redressal

The Portal acts as an intermediary in respect of information sourced from third parties and complies with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Complaints are handled by the grievance officer named on the Copyright & Takedown page: acknowledged within 24 hours, resolved within 15 days.

12. Severability and waiver

If any clause is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force. A delay in enforcing any right is not a waiver of it.
